Pure excitement in the rowing competitions on Saturday (02.08.2025) as part of the finals in Dresden. In the eighth with a helmsman there was a prestige victory, in one of the women the target photo had to decide.

The Germanyachter 1 successfully fended off the attack on the German championship title. The flagship of the German Rowing Association with Schlagmann Theis Hagemeister prevailed in 53.34 seconds in a narrow final against Germany-Echter 2 (“Germania-Echter”) with a 0.13 second lead.

Gripping race until the end

On the 350-meter-long route in Dresden Alberthafen, the Germany-Echter 2 even laid the lead in the parallel sprint for a long time before the sheet still turned shortly before the finish.

Föster finally pushed the pace and already looked like the safe winner before Janzen restored in the final sprint. Only the target photo brought the final certainty in favor of Fösters, who had the boat tip at the front with the tiny of six hundreds. Bronze won Sarah Wibberenz.
