“Row Zero” may be banned in Munich

According to reports, there will be no “Row Zero” at the Rammstein concerts in Munich (07-11 June) and the band’s after-show parties will also be banned. That reports the “AZ”. Accordingly, one may follow a request from the Greens, ÖDP and Left Party there – SPD (coalition partner of the Greens) and the CSU parliamentary group would not have signed.

With the application “Safe concerts for everyone”, the district administration department (KVR) is asked to check whether “Row Zero” can be banned. The Greens are examining whether safe spaces can be set up at major concerts; a similar concept (“safe Wiesn”) has already been established at the Oktoberfest. In addition, there are “awareness teams” as contact persons in the audience. The city councilors, the newspaper writes, would like to hold the organizer responsible as the cost bearer. The local concert organizer “Propeller” has not yet commented on the precautions according to “AZ”. Propeller has not yet issued a statement – but refers to Rammstein’s statement, which asks for patience for the clarification of the objections.

According to the “AZ”, the organizers and the Olympic Park, where the Rammstein concert takes place, have so far seen no need for action. “Should the allegations made by the 24-year-old Irish woman be confirmed, this would of course be terrible and despicable,” said the spokeswoman for Olympiapark GmbH so far. However, the matter is “obviously still unresolved at the moment”. However, the Olympiapark GmbH also announced that it is only the lessor of the stadium. “The organizer is responsible for security and access authorizations in the backstage area”.
