Düsseldorf (AP) – Rouwen Hennings and Fortuna Düsseldorf continue to go together. As the second division soccer club announced, the contract of the 34-year-old attacker was extended by an option after the game against FC Schalke 04 (2-1).
The veteran is entering his seventh season in the Fortuna jersey. “In the past few years, he has proven both in the Bundesliga and in the 2nd division that he is a goal guarantor. He is therefore absolutely a figure of identification and a crowd favourite,” commented sporting director Klaus Allofs.
