The DFB Cup takes place at the beginning of December. FC Bayern are heading to the capital, and the game now has a fixed date.
In the round of 16 of the DFB Cup, three games will be broadcast live on free-to-air television. ARD will show the match between Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday, December 2nd at 9 p.m. The following Wednesday at 6 p.m. the duel between VfL Bochum and defending champions VfB Stuttgart can also be seen on ARD. This is followed by FC Bayern Munich’s appearance at 1. FC Union Berlin (8.45 p.m.) on ZDF.
The other five round of 16 games will be shown – like all games – on the pay-TV channel Sky. In the duel between the second division teams, 1. FC Kaiserslautern will be visiting Hertha BSC on Tuesday at 6 p.m. At the same time, FC St. Pauli is challenged by Borussia Mönchengladbach. RB Leipzig meets 1. FC Magdeburg at 9 p.m. On Wednesday, second division team SV Darmstadt 98 will be guests at SC Freiburg at 6 p.m. Later in the evening (8:45 p.m.) Hamburger SV will face Holstein Kiel in the northern duel.
To kick off the extensive football program, ARD will also broadcast the women’s Nations League final second leg between Spain and Germany from Madrid on Tuesday from 6 p.m. (kick-off at 6:30 p.m.). The first leg between national coach Christian Wück’s selection and the world champions will take place on November 28th in Kaiserslautern.
