While most councilors do not yet acknowledge the full extent of Russia’s incursion into the country, the parties want to express their support and show solidarity with Ukraine.
Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb added that the lights of the Erasmus Bridge also shine in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The mayor also pledged his support to the capital Kiev.
