The municipality of Roosendaal closed a house on Van der Noortlaan on Tuesday evening for four weeks, until November 1. This is in response to a series of incidents aimed at this address, the municipality reports.

Last Sunday evening, two homes in Van der Nootlaan were damaged by an explosive device. A few days earlier, shots were fired in the street and a stone went through a window. These incidents are probably targeted actions. Fortunately, no one was injured in these incidents.

In order to prevent recurrence of incidents, to protect the residents of this street and residents of the address concerned, the mayor has issued an emergency order in the form of a home closure, the municipality of Roosendaal reports.

“This house closure is necessary to guarantee safety in Van der Nootlaan. Safety for both the local residents and the people who live at this address. With this measure I remove the cause of the incidents from the street. I wish all people affected by these incidents the return of their sense of security,” said Mayor Han van Midden.
