The lion’s share of the House of Representatives wants the rigid nitrogen standard to be relaxed, as scientists also argue. On Thursday, agricultural minister Femke Wiersma (BBB) revealed documents from scientists stating that the rigid standard of 0.005 mol of nitrogen per hectare per year can be relaxed to 1 mol.
