Ronald Plasterk: deeply sad that the Netherlands is abandoning its ally, how else should Israel defend itself?

The war in Gaza was started by Hamas, which on October 7, 2023, attacked an Israeli music festival and raped, tortured and killed hundreds of young people there and in a few other places in the most sadistic way, proudly spread the images and said it would repeat these attacks until Israel is driven into the sea (‘from the river to the sea’). On October 7, the Israeli flag flew at the city hall in Amsterdam in solidarity.
