Roman and Iryna keep their aquarium open in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, in the middle of the war: “You don’t know who is next: you or your fish”

The Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk is currently one of the most heavily fought over cities on the Eastern Front. It is a city that Russia wants to get its hands on at all costs in order to annex the entire Donetsk province. Two-thirds of Kramatorsk’s population has already fled and large parts of the city are in ruins. But there is one place in the center of the ravaged city that has escaped the bombs for now: the aquarium of Roman and his wife Iryna.
