The elegant Telegraph Hotel is an imposing building in the heart of Tbilisi. The world’s first ROLLING STONE Club is now opening on its large roof terrace with a view over the Georgian capital – a unique venue for live events and entertainment.
The historic post office was transformed into a stylish 239-room luxury hotel by hotel operator Silk Road Group with Shanghai-based architecture firm Neri & Hu and opened in June. The ROLLING STONE Rooftop Club is now a cultural highlight, literally on top.
The organizers promise “an immersive journey through the history of music” with “legendary musicians of the late 20th century to the megastars of today”. Guests were able to experience what that means at the opening with a concert by former Prince bassist Nik West’s band. Since then there have been regular live performances, with regional and international acts, from soul to electronica. Complemented by DJ sets with funk, house music and ambient sounds until early morning. It’s no coincidence that the cocktails there are called “Purple Haze” and “Sympathy For The Devil”.

Georgia and especially its capital Tbilisi have developed into a popular travel destination in recent years, especially for those interested in music. The city has numerous live and techno clubs and a very lively music and cultural scene.
At the same time, however, it is also suffering from the tense political situation in the country, characterized by protests against the pro-Russian government in office since the winter of 2024. Nevertheless, the cultural scene remains agile and resistant. And Tbilisi is one of the younger, up-and-coming metropolises of pop culture.
