Roland Garros, tomorrow’s program and scoreboard: Swiatek and Rune-Ruud

Second half of the quarter-finals, with two women’s matches and the same number of men’s matches: it is always played on Philippe Chatrier

Seeing Wednesday’s program at Roland Garros and not finding the Italian flag – with Sinner’s name next to it – causes a lot of regret. Also because the lower part of the scoreboard remained uncovered: Medvedev and Tsitsipas, the highest seeded and the main candidates on the eve of reaching the final in Paris, were eliminated in the quarter-finals. In their place – with full merit – there are Cilic and Rune, the veteran who has returned to play important games in a prestigious tournament and the baby talent. Who could go further than the same age (and much more popular) Carlos Alcaraz, defeated in four sets by Sascha Zverev.

THE PROGRAM

As already happened on Tuesday – on the first day of the quarter-finals – all the singles matches will be played on Philippe Chatrier, the central court of Roland Garros. Also in this case, we will start with women: Kudermetova against Kasatkina (seeded number 29 and 20 respectively) and Swiatek against Pegula, the first player of the ranking – 32 consecutive wins for the Polish – and 11th seeded . If the regret is not seeing Sinner, the pride is knowing that Martina Trevisan is already in the semifinals: it will be Cori Gauff, Thursday, the last obstacle towards an incredible final. After the women’s quarter-finals, it’s up to the men. After Swiatek’s match, Marin Cilic and Andrey Rublev will take the field. In the evening session, to close the day, the challenge between Holger Rune and Casper Ruud. All matches are visible on Discovery + and Eurosport.
