Rogue wins LEC season – MAD Lions not in playoffs

Rogue secured first place in the regular season of the European League of Legends league LEC with a win against G2 Esports. With a record of 14 wins and four losses, Rogue goes into the playoffs in the best position.

With the win, Rogue cleared the table and prevented potential tie-breakers. Behind the leaders were Fnatic, Misfits Gaming and G2. The four teams will battle it out in the Upper Bracket for the LEC Spring title.

Defending champions MAD Lions and the team Vitality, called “Superteam” before the season, had been fighting for the playoff qualification until the last matchday. But already after the second game of the day the thing was clear: Vitality defeated the bottom of the table Astralis with a dominant performance and thus secured the ticket for the knockout round. MAD was only able to secure seventh place with a win against BDS.

In the playoffs, the team around superstar Luka “Perkz” Perković meets Excel, which had won the first playoff in team history the day before.
