Rogozin accused Dvorkovich of “planting” Russians on Boeing and Airbus

Rogozin said that during Dvorkovich’s work as Deputy Prime Minister and his supervision of the Ministry of Transport, Russians were “hooked” on Boeing and Airbus instead of buying Russian aircraft. Earlier, Dvorkovich called for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine.

The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, responded to the head of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), former Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, who spoke out against military actions, criticizing his work on import substitution.

“Arkasha, you are our dove! You better answer why, under your supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Aeroflot, did you resist the purchase of Russian aircraft and put us all on Boeing and Airbus? What did you think then, “peacemaker”? — wrote Rogozin in the Telegram channel (previously the EU, where Airbus operates, banned the sale of aircraft and spare parts to Russia, and Boeing suspended services to Russian airlines).

Rogozin noted that Dvorkovich oversaw the civilian part of Russian industry and this work in the government commission on import substitution. “Do you think you can hide behind a chessboard from these questions of millions of people, whose right to travel you and others like you questioned?” he wrote.

Dvorkovich, after the appearance of Rogozin’s office, said that, while working in the government, “he did everything so that sanctions became not an obstacle, but an opportunity to create their own economy.” And the results of this work in many sectors have made it possible to create the springboard for ensuring national security that we have today – in agriculture and construction, in energy and petrochemistry, in the development of infrastructure,” the former Deputy Prime Minister noted.
