Rogel is out – will Unions Baumgartl now be a candidate at Hertha?

Will Hertha hit the transfer market again?

Agustin Rogel (25) injured his knee during training on Wednesday. According to BZ information, it should be a sprain, so the ligaments are not severely damaged.

Nevertheless, the central defender will probably be out for at least two weeks. In the derby against Union on Saturday (3.30 p.m.), the Uruguayan international is already suspended.

Is Hertha getting reinforcements now?

Manager Fredi Bobic (51): “We’ll consider until the last day of the transfer period whether something is still possible. We may respond to one or the other with the resources we have. Then we still have to use magic.”

Bobic continues: “Even if another player comes, it will be one for the group. Actionism will not help at all in our situation. We have to believe in the group and invest in it.”

Will a player come from city rivals?

Shortly before the Berlin derby, “Sky” brings Union professional Timo Baumgartl (26) into play as a transfer candidate. The central defender has only made four league appearances for the Köpenickers this season after suffering from testicular cancer. Baumgartl wasn’t even in the squad for the away game in Bremen (2-1).

According to BZ information, there is no serious Hertha interest in the defender. Especially since PSV Eindhoven would have to be brought on board if Baumgartl were to change. The 1.90 meter man belongs to the Dutch and is on loan to Köpenick until the end of the season.

But it is also clear: Hertha has just enough players in the central defender position with four professionals. The Rogel failure shows how quickly the staffing level can stretch. Filp Uremovic (25) will probably make his first start-up appearance this season for Rogel. Marton Dardai (20), who last sat in the stands, moves into the squad.

The Hertha managers still have until Tuesday 6 p.m. for new staff!
