Rocket League: Vitality wins the RLCS EU-Spring Open final

The winner of the Rocket League Championship Series EU Spring Open Finals has been announced. The French team Vitality defeated the Dutch organization Team Liquid 4:3.

Vitality was already able to convince in the upper bracket semi-finals. There they dominated spectator favorite Karmine Corp 4:1. KC continued in the lower bracket, where they beat newly formed British esports team Hogan Mode, but were defeated by Team BDS in the semifinals.

“It wasn’t our regional tournament at all. We didn’t deserve to win considering how we played individually all weekend,” KC team captain Amine “itachi” Benayachi tweeted after the loss. “But Top 4 is very good and we will use that to recover and be at our best for all the tournaments to come.”

For Vitality it was tight again in the final. However, their tactical timeout and the decisive goal from newcomer Alexis “zen” Bernier secured the final victory. “I think we found a good balance between us,” Vitality captain Yanis “Alpha54” Champenois said in an interview after the win.
