The names of the artists: Inside, which are included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, were announced. A total of 13 artists can be found on the list, including Outkast, Soundgarden and The White Stripes. Here are all information at a glance.

The artists were partially selected by the board of the Hall of Fame and by fan voting. In the musician category “Performer” there are Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden and The White Stripes. In the “Musical Influence Award” category, the HipHop group Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon were mentioned. The producer Thom Bell, the musician Nicky Hopkins as well as the guitarist and bassist Carol Kaye form the “Musical Excellence Award” category and in the “Ahmet Ertegun Award” section, Lenny Waronker was chosen due to his decades of work at Warner Bros. Records.
John Sykes, Chairman of the Hall of Fame, said about the importance of the recording and the elected artists: Inside in a press release: “Each of these award winners has created their own sound and attitude, which had a profound influence on culture. And contributed to changing the course of rock & roll history forever.” He also explained: “Your music has given generations a voice and influenced countless artists who have stepped into their footsteps.”
Who did not make it (again)?
Originally there were a number of other nominees, which were ultimately not chosen. Among other things, it was Phish, Oasis, Mariah Carey, Billy Idol, Joy Division/New Order and Maná. For Oasis and Joy Division/New Order, it is the second time not to be included in the final list. But the fans of Phish probably also reacted less happily to the new list of members. The rock band was ultimately not added despite the fan vote won.
In 2024, Oasis front man Liam Gallagher already wrote on X regarding the first unsuccessful nomination: “Fuck the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame” and explained to one of his fans that he would rather not vote for him so as not to “waste his time”.
“My lawyer was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in front of me”
Mariah Carey is in a similar situation to Oasis. Last November, she already revealed the “Los Angeles Times” with regard to the last nomination: “Everyone told me: ‘I think you will be recorded’ and I was very excited. But then it didn’t happen. My lawyer was accepted into the Rock and Roll of Fame in front of me.” This lawyer, Allen Grubman, is a co -founder of Rockhall and has been a member since 2022.
The recording ceremony of the new artists: Inside, on November 8th, the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles takes place and will be broadcast live via Disney+ again.
