The company is also financed by Mate Rimac, owner and CEO of the eponymous Rimac automobiles, as well as CEO of Bugatti. Verne’s robotaxis can currently travel in one limited area of ​​ninety square kilometers (the cost, at a fixed rate, is 1.99 euros per trip), which however includes Zagreb international airport. Furthermore, it should be underlined that, although the rides are entrusted exclusively to autonomous driving, There is an operator inside the vehicles. And it couldn’t be otherwise, given local and European regulations. At the moment there are around three hundred people able to use the app and over four thousand on the waiting list.
