National player Robin Gosens wants to apply to FC Bayern Munich for a World Cup ticket in the Champions League game with Inter Milan on Tuesday (9 p.m. / Prime Video).
“Participation is in danger for me,” said the 28-year-old at a press conference on Monday evening before the game in the Allianz Arena.
After a season with a lot of bad luck with injuries, Gosens feels ready again, but knows about the competition. “Players who play well in the club are also at the World Cup,” said the left-back, adding as his own argument for national coach Hansi Flick: “I played well in the national team. Now I can only continue to train well and play well . I hope the coach sees that.”
Gosens is looking forward to the match in Munich. “There are great emotions,” he said, looking back: “I scored a goal here at the European Championship against Portugal. That changed my career.”
