The corona period has changed a lot for All You Need Is Love: Robert ten Brink’s love program was removed from the studio due to the distance rules, and it never returned. Many people think that is a shame, especially because the Christmas version had more atmosphere when it was recorded in the studio.

Back to studio

Jordi Versteegden asks in the Show news from last night to Robert. “Robert, I have been missing the studio a bit in recent years. Amsterdam is also my city, a beautiful place, but when will you go back to the studio in an old-fashioned way that everyone comes out of the roof and from all sides?”

Robert then reveals: “I think I have a scoop, because we are going to do five studio shows with All You Need next year, including Christmas.”

Old-fashioned Christmas

Sandra Schuurhof thinks that is great news. “So next year Christmas will be back in the studio?”

Robert: “Just in the studio!”

Jordi: “Did you actually miss that yourself?”

Robert: “In the beginning, yes, but that was because of the corona and then you are left empty-handed and then you start coming up with all kinds of fun things, so that in the end you all think: well, this is much more fun.”

Beautiful things

The on-location format was initially nice, says Robert. “We were also a bit ready for it, because at a certain point it became a bit like the same exercise in the studio, you know. Then you knew it. So we discovered all kinds of wonderful things on the street, but it will be fun again next year.”

Finally, doesn’t Robert want to do more than just All You Need Is Love? No, he indicates. “I actually get my money’s worth as a program maker.”
