Robert Marijanovic does without a PDC tour card

The two-time World Cup participant Robert Marijanovic waives his right to play in most of the tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation in 2022.

The 41-year-old, who secured the two-year tour ticket last January, wants to retire for family and professional reasons. As early as 2021, he had only rarely made use of the opportunity to participate in PDC events.

“I just can’t say whether and to what extent I can play Tour 22 and have decided to withdraw and make room for someone who has better conditions for it,” said Marijanovic at “Sport1”. He left it open whether he would like to return to the tour.

This means that currently five German players in the World Cup participants Gabriel Clemens, Florian Hempel and Martin Schindler as well as Max Hopp and Michael Unterbuchner have the tour card.

Among other things, Fabian Schmutzler, who was the second youngest participant in history at the last World Cup, wants to acquire the right to play at the PDC Qualifying School (January 9th to 15th).
