Robert Lewandowski’s family is reportedly receiving death threats

Robert Lewandowski’s vacation time is over. On Monday he traveled back to Munich – without a wife and children. The reason should be a frightening one.

The summer break is almost over, the pros are returning to their clubs. So did Robert Lewandowski, who landed in Munich on Monday to complete his first performance test at Bayern Munich the next day. But the Pole arrived without his family. With good reason: As the Polish “WP SportoweFakty” reports, Lewandowski and his family received hate messages.

The FC Bayern striker is said to have even received death threats on social media. The messages were also addressed to his family. “Robert could always count on the support of Bayern fans, but the many lies that have surfaced about him have provoked reactions that are worrying,” said Lewandowski friend Tomasz Zawislak in a recent interview with “Bild”.

The background to the threats is the changing theater of the past few weeks. Lewandowski wants to leave FC Bayern for Barcelona. That still applies. Because even if Lewandowski is currently in Munich, he is still hoping for an agreement with Barça.
