Actor Robert Carradine has died. Carradine died at the age of 71.
Carradine is remembered, among other things, from movies Wolf’s den (1973) and Revenge of the Nerds (1984). He acted in the television series Lizzie McGuire the main character’s father.
According to Carradine’s brother, actor Keith Carradine, the actor struggled with bipolar disorder for two decades.
The family tells For Deadline magazinethat they want to openly say that the actor died because of that disease. In their opinion, there is nothing to be ashamed of and the information deserves to be made public.
– We are saddened to inform you that our beloved father, grandfather, grandmother and brother Robert Carradine has passed away. In a world that can seem so dark at times, Bobby was a beacon of light to everyone around him. We are saddened by the loss of this beautiful soul, the family said in a statement.
– We want to emphasize his brave fight against bipolar disorder. We hope that her story can break the stigma of bipolar disorder and bring light to others, they specify.

A famous family
Robert came from a well-known acting family. His father was the well-known American actor John Carradine, who is known for his films House of Dracula (1945), The Scarecrow (1982) and House of Horrors (1983). Carradine’s mother Sonia Sorel was also an actress.
