After the break, White Star Lauwe looked better, but that did not lead to real danger. Kvdo, on the other hand, continued to push through. Lukas Vandenbussche found Wietse Deprez on the second post, who worked the 3-0.
Fifteen minutes before time, a smooth switch followed via Vandenschrink and D’Haese, with Siebe Vandergunst’s end station, which put the 4-0 on the board. “We lacked a little bit of commitment and won too few duels,” explains White Star Lauwe player Lennert Vansteenkiste the defeat. “We played too little through the flanks and that broke our acid.”
Trainer Dieter Vandendriessche of KVDO was proud of his team: “From the first to the 95th minute we gave full gas. This was a pleasant game for the supporters of course.”
