Robbert Rodenburg arouses a lot of annoyance with his accusation against the NOS. The Rik Felderhof among the influencers is strongly answered. “This is not right!”
The 25-year-old Robbert Rodenburg angers the NOS by claiming that the broadcaster reports in a stereotypical way on the annual boat parade during Pride in Amsterdam. “At the moment the NOS published an article post about Pride, then you only see the boat in which learning things and stuff…”, the influencer claims in his podcast.
“I’ll say something!”
It irritates the NOS, which, like many other media organizations, attaches great importance to diversity and inclusiveness. Jeroen Gortworst, domestic reporter for the broadcaster, rightly opposes this. “I’m going to say something about this anyway,” he writes in a message X.
Jeroen proves with a four-part collage of NOSstills that the broadcaster has shown a very diverse picture. “What was actually shown at the NOS, Robbert… 1) The boat for LGBTIQ+ refugees, 2) the Amnesty boat, 3) the police boat, 4) The Youth Pride boat.”

The NOS also sought depth in its reporting by speaking to the people on the Youth Pride boat. “Young people who were also so tough to tell their story.”
Robbert’s claim is therefore invalid, but according to Banijay employee Joakim Samuel, the authoritative medium that has reported on the influencer’s statements is ‘sewer journalism’. “Did you read the piece? Kop is very misleading and not at all what Robbert is talking about.”
‘It is not right!’
Yes, the domestic reporter of the NOS replies. “And heard the podcast too.”
Literal quotes don’t lie, of course. Jeroen: “What matters is that he accuses the NOS of something that is not correct: namely that we ‘only show the leather boat’ and thus paint a certain picture of Pride. While: online and on TV, there was precisely attention for protest and diversity.”
Derksen sneer
Robbert’s complaint has also led to annoyance at Johan Derksen, but for a completely different reason. “Then they are angry with the gay scene, that the NOS registers it as a kind of cabinet of curiosities, but that is also the case. These are not the gays I meet in everyday life who I see standing on those boats”, he bellows Inside today.
The football connoisseur continues: “I am watching a kind of carnival parade or a flower parade. These aren’t your average gay guys. Those people on that boat who are acting crazy create an image of the gay as crazy fagots!”
