Robbers crash in Vinkel after police chase

Two men crashed in Vinkel with the car they were in on Sunday night. This happened during a police chase. The two men would have robbed the resident of a chalet at the Dierenbos holiday park in Vinkel just before.

The robbery at the holiday park in Vinkel took place around three o’clock in the morning. According to a 112 correspondent, the resident would have been caught off guard when he got home and he was mistreated by the two. After the robbery, the assailants made off with the victim’s phone.

Officers discovered the car in which the two fled a short time later on the Coppensdijk in Vinkel and gave the driver a stop sign. He didn’t care and ran off.

After a short chase, the driver missed a bend on Rijksweg-Zuid in Vinkel. The car then crashed and ended up in a ditch.

Injured
Several ambulances, the fire brigade and a trauma helicopter were called after the crash. One of the suspects was immediately arrested and taken away by the officers. The second suspect was injured and was first taken to a hospital under police escort.

The robbery and abused resident of the chalet was also taken to a hospital for a check-up.
