Rob Goossens is putting a lot at stake with his participation in Ranking the Stars, especially now that he is in the middle of a row about cheating. Tina Nijkamp speaks of a major risk of failure.
The first recordings of the new Ranking the Stars have been completed and according to those present, Rob Goossens was treated very harshly by both Glennis Grace and Gordon, who still had a bone to pick with him. And recently, due to dirty extramarital chat conversations, Rob is no longer the handing out party, but the collecting party.
Risk of failure
Tina Nijkamp thinks that Rob is really taking a huge risk of failure, she says in the podcast Tina’s TV Update. “That’s fine, of course trickyhuh? Even discredited because he allegedly had a chat mistress. He was chatting with women other than his girlfriend.”
She continues: “That is of course not very nice and not good for your image if you have to report on those kinds of messages yourself at RTL Boulevard. It is really a big risk for him and if I hear that he was really badly beaten, then yes, I hope for Rob that the damage will not be too bad.”
Strangulation contract
It’s not really convenient for Rob to participate in this, Tina thinks. “If I had been him, I would have canceled my participation after that scandal. But maybe he signed some kind of contract, that’s also possible.”
Evert Santegoeds also finds it awkward. He says in the podcast Strictly Private: “He just sits there stoically. He will remain the head of jut. Those episodes will be broadcast until the end of February and Rob has ensured that the affair he himself started about in Boulevard will receive attention until the end of February.”
Not smart
Does Evert think it’s smart of Rob? “No, of course not. He has done it all very stupidly so far and has dragged along far too much and far too big and far too many people. No, that wasn’t Rob’s best move. We haven’t seen him at the Boulevard desk for a long time.”
Co-host Jordi Versteegden: “Very occasionally, yes.”
Evert: “And then you sit down and do this. That is asking for trouble.”
Not Evert
Why isn’t Evert actually in Ranking the Stars? He previously hinted at participation. “There was talk of it, but it wasn’t. They were very vague about who would participate.”
“When I see the star list now, I think: I get along with some of them, but with others I really would…”
Having problems, says Evert. And vice versa. Read: Gordon.
