Rob Goossens accuses Angela de Jong of mafia practices

The dormant media quarrel between Angela de Jong and Rob Goossens flares up. He accuses her of Sicilian practices now that she has strongly criticized Renze Klamer, his colleague at RTL 4.

Angela de Jong can make and break stars thanks to her enormous readership. As the most popular columnist of the AD, the opinion diva has quite a bit of influence on the prevailing opinion and Renze Klamer is now also in danger of falling victim to it. She has written a damning column about his work as a talk show host on RTL 4.

Mafia practices

Not justified, says Rob Goossens, who, like Renze, works for RTL 4. The RTL Boulevard expert has the idea that Angela is just taking revenge. He accuses her of mob behavior.

Rob: “If, for a change, a talk show host appears who does not have Angela de Jong on the speed dial, a settlement immediately follows. Interesting how that apparently works o̶p̶ ̶S̶i̶c̶i̶l̶i̶ë̶ in Hilversum.”

‘still needs to grow’

One Jan-Dirk van Puffelen, who describes himself on Twitter as a people person, understands the criticism of Renze. He says to Rob: “Have you been able to catch him with any talent?”

Rob, who was recently a guest on Renze’s talk show, added: “Certainly. The program still needs to grow a bit, but if you never even try anything, you will get nowhere.”

Multiple opportunities

Jan-Dirk is not convinced of Renze’s talent. “Give him several chances, even before he had this show. I don’t see the charm yet. Must say that I hardly watch any talk shows anymore.”

Marketing expert Taco Jelgersma agrees with the criticism of Angela. Rob has a point. In addition, when commercials intervene, the reproach is always that presenters are not given time to ‘grow into the format’.”

Mega quarrel

Angela and Rob have been at odds for years. That started in the period that Rob worked for the Albert Verlinde program 6 Inside. He was the second choice there, because SBS 6 actually wanted Angela for that. However, she declined the offer to protect her independence.

Last summer, Rob gave Angela a spicy sneer: “I don’t find her such a fascinating woman, I would rather book myself about media developments. Albert Verlinde is an example for me.”
