There are currently no trains running between Beilen and Assen due to several roadside fires. According to the NS, train traffic on the route will be stopped until about 7.30 pm.
The roadside fires are in the vicinity of the Hendrik van Boeijenlaan in Assen. The fires are said to have been caused by sparks from a freight train with jammed brakes.
