Road pirate Muis911 does not perform community service, but does not have to go to jail

The well-known road pirate Muis911 was arrested in Roosendaal last week because he had not performed community service. His lawyer, Tom Roggenkamp, confirms this: “Of course he has to carry out his community service, but the judiciary has not been able to reach him and they could have done a bit more effort for that.”

Muis911 became known for his horrifying films op TikTok and YouTube, in which he zigzags through traffic at incredible speeds in fast Audis, BMWs, Mercedes or Volkswagens. With his driving, he became a well-known on sites like Dumpert.nl.

The community service for which he was arrested has nothing to do with his antics on the road, but was imposed some time ago because he had a large amount of fireworks in his possession.

“It’s a bit of a misunderstanding.”

A person who does not perform community service, normally has to serve his sentence in a cell. Every two hours of community service is then good for a day in jail.

But, according to Muis911’s lawyer, Tom Roggenkamp, his client does not have to go to jail. “It’s a bit of a misunderstanding,” he replies when asked. “He must of course carry out his community service, but the judiciary has not been able to reach him. And they should have put in a little more effort for that.”

“The judge gave him a second chance.”

Roggenkamp filed an objection on behalf of Muis against the conversion of the community service order into a prison sentence. “The judge gave him a second chance. It has been agreed that Muis will still perform his community service, as it should be.”

In November, Muis 911 was arrested on the Gastelseweg in Roosendaal. The police had been looking for him for a while, because of all the videos on the internet, but could not find him. Muis, who seems to be called Younes, places all his films under his pseudonym. He would come from Roosendaal, but he is not officially registered in the Netherlands. The fast cars he drives are all rented.

Since his arrest, Muis911 still posts videos on his social media, but crazy stunts can no longer be seen on them.
