German politics makes a jerk to the right. The combination CDU/CSU wins the Sunday elections, and gets 28.6 percent of the votes. All eyes were aimed at the extreme right -wing AfD, which turns out to be 20.8 percent of the votes. Party SPD of current Chancellor Olaf Scholz shrinks considerably and has to do with 16 percent.
