Rıza Çalımbay and the players met with the earthquake victims in Sivasspor!



Rıza Çalimbay, coach of Demir Grup Sivasspor, one of the Spor Toto Super League teams, and the football players came together with the earthquake victims hosted at the Credit and Hostels Institution (KYK) Binali Yıldırım Yurt Campus.


Sivas Deputy Governor Şakir Öner Öztürk, who spoke at the event held in the conference hall in the campus, thanked Çalimbay and the football players for fulfilling their demands.


Stating that the wounds will be healed together, Öztürk said, “Hopefully, as Sivas, we will try to host you in the best way. We are always with you, you are very valuable to us.” said.

Coach Rıza Çalımbay said that the earthquake victims suffered together as a country.


Noting that the country came together after the earthquake, Çalımbay said, “Even though we were not there, we felt that pain. Our football matches were postponed, it was very difficult to play football when there was such a thing. It is difficult even now.” he said.


Stating that there are people who are in a difficult situation in the earthquake area, Çalımbay said, “We are suffering with them, these are our most difficult days. These days, we have to take care of them, we have to help them.” used the phrases.


Invited earthquake victims to Fiorentina match


Çalimbay invited the earthquake survivors to the match that Sivasspor will play at home with Fiorentina in the last 16 of the UEFA European Conference League and said, “We are waiting for you all in that match, we would like to see you there as our guests.” said.


Çalimbay and red-white football players gave Sivasspor jerseys and scarves to the earthquake victims in the hall.


Deputy Mayor Turan Topgül and Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Erdoğan Tunç also attended the program.
