The cruise ship A-Rosa Sena was on its way to Utrecht on Wednesday evening when it collided with the ship’s bridge and the radar mast. Quite astonishing, says tow truck Michiel Meijs. “I think the skipper was not paying attention and forgot to lower the bridge. It is on a collapsible pole, so that the ship can pass under the bridge.”
The Dutch Safety Board investigated the vessel today, but it is not yet known exactly how the accident could have occurred. The ship has been towed to a shipyard for repairs and is not allowed to enter the waterways independently until then.
