Ristomatti Hakola took his second gold of the weekend. Vilma Nissinen lamented her stressful situation.
Cross mat Hakola skied on Saturday at Imatra for his second Finnish championship of the weekend.
On Friday, Hakola celebrated Lauri Lepistön with the gold of a free couple message. On Saturday, he won the 10 km traditional split start race.
Hakola could already predict good success based on Friday.
– After the first lap, I got eight seconds ahead. I knew the victory would come. That’s how easy the track is. There are ups and downs, but there are also recoverable downs, Hakola commented on Saturday’s race.

The championship came with a difference of 17.4 seconds Ville Ahosen. Juuso Haarala skied for bronze.
There was a special challenge on the track.
– The rod grooves went a little deep. In a few places, the poles could have broken, Hakola said and showed that his poles had sunk almost a third of the way into the project.
The World Cup medalist believes he will compete next week at the Les Rousses World Cup. The weekend program includes 10 kilometers as a free split start, a traditional sprint and 20 kilometers as a traditional joint start.
– The situation is good, but it can change in a day. Staying healthy is much more difficult than skiing.
Screens all the time

Anne Kyllönen won the women’s 10 km Finnish championship.
The medal fight wasn’t a clear mutton, because Vilma Ryytty was second with a difference of 5.9 seconds and 9.3 seconds slower than Kyllö Vilma Nissinen third.
The track was already soft at the beginning of the race, and the snow fell several times during the day. According to Nissinen, the women skied the track very smoothly.
– I expected a little more from myself. I wished I could have challenged Anne. The differences were not big, as the top three distinguished themselves quite well. I would have liked to win, Nissinen commented.
Nissinen has skied in the Ruka and Lillehammer World Cups this season. The best result is from the 10 kilometer traditional race, where the skier was 26th in Kuusamo.
With Imatra, displays can be given to the World Cups of Les Rousses, Engadin and Cogne.
– It’s challenging when you have to give demonstrations all the time. You can’t make peace. I don’t know if there are World Cup competitions that I can ski, Nissinen regretted his situation.
In Imatra, the 20 km combined race will still be skied on Sunday.
