Risk of skin cancer greater for those who work outside for a long time

Outdoor workers who have been exposed to UV radiation for a long time are 77 percent more likely to develop a form of skin cancer (spinocellular carcinoma and actinic keratosis) in the long term. The risk of developing the most common form of skin cancer (basocellular carcinoma) is also 43 percent higher among them than among the rest of the population. This is reported by the Cancer Foundation.
