Rising costs of Britain’s ‘lost generation’: ‘Welfare and health care inadequate’

The United Kingdom has more than one million young people (16-24 years) without work, education or training. This concerns one in eight young people. If nothing changes, this number will increase by another quarter within a few years. There are no easy solutions. The planned increase in the minimum wage may be delayed. In any case, welfare money should be better spent.
