Former soccer star Rio Ferdinand is moving his center of life. In the process, he apparently sells his multi-million dollar property.
As a professional footballer, Rio Ferdinand has won numerous titles, including the English championship six times and the Champions League once. At Manchester United, the 81-time England international earned his status as one of the best central defenders in the world at the beginning of the millennium. He earned correspondingly good money as a professional. Among other things, he invested this in a magnificent property.
According to the Sun, the house in Kent, southeast of London, has a price tag of twelve million euros (£10.5 million). It is for sale on the real estate platform “Rightmove”. Potential new tenants can look forward to almost 1,200 square meters of living space, surrounded by an eight-hectare landscaped area.
The property offers every luxury imaginable: a modern exercise room, a master suite with two dressing rooms, a mezzanine lounge, a spacious reception hall, a main reception room and several areas for social events. The listing states: “Located in an exclusive and discreet location, this architect-designed masterpiece offers an exceptional standard of living, carefully designed to the owners’ precise specifications.”
If Ferdinand were to sell the property at the desired price, he would make a hefty profit. According to the report, he bought the house in 2008 for €2.3 million (£2 million). In August of the previous year, Ferdinand moved to Dubai with his family and therefore no longer needs the million-dollar accommodation in Kent.
