Beatles drummer Ringo Starr recently announced new details about his solo EP entitled “EP3”. The work is scheduled for release on September 16th. Following the digital release, the EP will also be available on CD, 10″ vinyl and a limited edition clear royal blue cassette beginning November 18th. You can download the album here preorder.
According to a press release, “EP3” will consist of four songs, all of which Starr recorded at his home studio, Roccabella West. The recording is described as a collection of “feel-good lyrics” and “light-footed melodies”. Starr also said he worked with Steve Lukather, Linda Perry, Dave Koz, Jose Antonio Rodriguez and Bruce Sugar on the project. He explained, “I’m in my studio writing and recording whenever I can. I have always done so and will continue to do so. And releasing EPs at shorter intervals gives me the opportunity to keep being creative and to put a little more love into each song.”

Let There Be Drums!: A Movie Starring Ringo Starr and Taylor Hawkins
The film “Let There Be Drums!”, directed by Justin Kreutzmann, is also scheduled to be released shortly and hit theaters worldwide on October 28th.
