A genuine Thursdays is a safe way to shop through the market, but if you do not know how the service works, it is possible to enter a cheater trap. Ville Järveläinen

Riku Rokala says in LinkedIn From a near missed situation with Tori.fi -Huijari, when he put his old skis up for sale. Rokala is responsible for CGI for business development in the energy and telecommunications sectors.

Rokala agreed with the buyer a “Thursdays”, a service offered by the service, where the buyer pays the shipping costs to the package through the online service.

After a brief exchange of messages, there was a special message with a slightly strange web address, but in a hurry, Rokala clicked on the link. The website was receiving the Payment button and a credit card information was requested. Next came the page asking for a bank ID and password. At this point, Rokala’s alarm bells ring. He closed his credit card, which fortunately was not used to take advantage of.

– And here’s the Catch: Because I was “receiving” money, I was careless. Probably I would have been better awake if I had been “paying”, Rokala writes.

More specifically, the links did not work on the first page. It was a Vale-tori.fi page for the scam.

Anyone can cheat on the scam as the rush of everyday life quickly tries to react to messages. Rokala reminds you to check the address field of the website address. Especially the addresses on the card and bank information pages should look right.
