Ingrid Klimke completes the Equipe of the German dressage rider for the European Championships in Crozet, France (August 26 to 31).

The 57-year-old will be there with her stallion Vayron and is part of a quartet: Record Olympic champion Isabell Werth (with Wendy), Frederic Wandres (with Bluetooth) and Katharina Hemmer (with Denoix) were also appointed on Saturday evening.

Nobody from the German Equipe was completely convincing behind the trio, but Klimke then sent a strong European Championship application at the Chio in Aachen on Friday evening: With Vayron, she surprisingly decided to do the Grand Prix Special in the four-star tour, only a day later followed the four-time Olympic champion in versatility.

Matthias Alexander Rath was also appointed as the first reserve for the European Championship with Destacado, just like the team riders set, he will take part in the training camp in Warendorf. The decisions made it earlier than expected: the Chio is the last sighting date, it only ends on Sunday.
