Laurent Malecaze has been appointed as Dunhill’s new General Manager.
He will take up the new position with immediate effect, announced the British label Dunhill, which belongs to the Swiss luxury goods and retail group Richemont, on Tuesday. Malecaze comes from AZ Factory, a joint venture between Alber Elbaz and Richemont that he set up with the late fashion designer Elbaz. Before that, he was CEO of the US luxury fashion retailer The Webster and a strategic consultant at Bain & Company.
“Laurent has an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive retail experience,” said Philippe Fortunato, director of fashion and accessories at Richemont. “At AZ Factory, alongside the late Alber Elbaz, he proved that he is able to establish a strong design identity through a digital-first approach.”
