Rheinmetall share rising: Rheinmetall has made a location decision for the construction of F-35 parts

Together with its US partners, Rheinmetall has made a site decision for the production of center fuselage sections for the US F-35A Lightning II fighter jet.

As announced by Rheinmetall, a factory for the production of these parts is to be built in the North Rhine-Westphalian town of Weeze in the district of Kleve. Production is scheduled to begin in 2025.

The plant is to produce at least 400 F-35A center fuselage sections for the Air Force and other friendly nations. More than 400 new employees will operate a state-of-the-art assembly line at the factory operated by Rheinmetall Aviation Services GmbH.

“We are proud that our longstanding partnership with Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin, as well as our very close ties to the armed forces lead to a real transfer of know-how to Germany,” says Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger. Via XETRA, Rheinmetall shares temporarily gained 0.52 percent to EUR 253.20.
