Rhein-Neckar Löwen clearly beat HC Erlangen

The Rhein-Neckar Löwen achieved their first win in the handball Bundesliga in the third game of the season.

In the home game against HC Erlangen, the cup winners won 34:24 (18:11).

The Lions, who are the only team to have only played three games, are currently eleventh in the table with 3:3 points, while Erlangen (4:6) is in tenth place.

In Mannheim, captain Patrick Groetzki and the 19-year-old David More were the Lions’ top scorers with seven goals each, and they were able to report success before the game: goalkeeper David Späth (21) extended his contract, which runs until 2025, by two years 2027.

Against Erlangen, the U21 world champion temporarily replaced regular goalkeeper Mikael Appelgren.
