Michael van Gerwen was unable to convince on his return to the Premier League on Thursday evening. In the quarter-finals in Belfast, the 36-year-old darts player from Vlijmen lost 6-5 against Gerwyn Price from Wales.
Last week, Van Gerwen was missing from the Premier League because he was not feeling well. For a while it looked like he would not be there in Northern Ireland on Thursday, but on Tuesday Van Gerwen announced that he would be able to play after all.
Gian van Veen from Andel took on Josh Rock from Northern Ireland in the quarter-finals. He managed to win 6-2. He will face Price in the semi-finals.
