Rethinking at FC Bayern? FC Barcelona increase Lewandowski offer

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic only confirmed on Wednesday that FC Bayern does not want to let Robert Lewandowski go before his contract ends in 2023. But now there is apparently a new movement in poker around the striker.

As the “picturereported, Barcelona have made a new offer for Lewandowski. According to them, the Catalans have increased their initial €32m offer to €35m.

According to the report, however, the bosses of FC Bayern did not react to the Spaniards’ advance, saying that the offer was still far too small to make the German record champions rethink. According to the tabloid, the people of Munich are demanding at least 50 million euros for Lewandowski.

Despite the 33-year-old’s clearly expressed desire to change, FC Bayern is not considering giving up their second-best goalscorer in club history this summer, given the current situation.

“Our position on this matter is clear: Robert has a contract until the summer of 2023,” emphasized Salihamidzic in an interview with “Sport Bild” on Wednesday.

CEO Oliver Kahn had already announced his veto on the change question at the championship celebration on Marienplatz. “He will fulfill this contract – that’s it!” said Kahn.

Recently, details about a personal meeting between the conflicting parties in Mallorca last week became known.

Salihamidzic expects Lewandowski to start training at Bayern

Even before this meeting last Wednesday, it transpired that Munich probably didn’t want to move away from their “Basta” tactics with Lewandowski.

Regarding the rumors about a possible transfer fee, Salihamidzic said: “I’m not concerned with that. I expect that we’ll see Robert on July 12 at Säbener Straße for training.”
