The residents of six apartments in the flat on Brahmslaan in Eindhoven, where Thursday evening was an explosion and a blazing fire raged, could not sleep at home on Thursday night. An alternative had to be sought for them, the safety region announced at night.

Until then, the residents were taken care of in a parking lot behind the flat. A dixi was placed there. The residents stood outside for an hour or a night. The police had cleared the complex because they first wanted to know for sure that the building is still stable after the explosion. In addition, agents still wanted to secure traces.

Crawl under ribbons
A number of residents did not understand why waiting for so long and decided to crawl under the ribbons and go back into the flat. The police have taken them out again. Agents were then placed with the access doors. Not all residents agreed with the actions of the police.

Around midnight the emergency services called the residents together for an improvised information meeting in the parking lot next to the flat.

Check
Three people were seriously injured in the explosion and blazing fire. An architectural inspector of the municipality has checked the flat for damage.

Most residents could eventually go back to their apartment around one o’clock in the morning.
