Residents of the Ulyanovsk region over 60 years of age were required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 – RBC

The Ulyanovsk region has introduced mandatory vaccination against coronavirus for people over 60 years old, follows from the order of the acting chief sanitary doctor of the region. Document published on the Rospotrebnadzor website.

Elderly residents of the region must be vaccinated with the first component by February 7 of this year, and the second by March 7. The oblast should reach 80% of vaccinated people from this category.

Persons with a medical tap and those who have been ill with coronavirus in the last six months may not be vaccinated.

In January, the number of cases of coronavirus among people over 60 rose to 60% of all registered in the region. This is 23% more than in December 2021.

Over the past day, COVID-19 in the Ulyanovsk region was detected in 112 people, 13 died, follows from data headquarters. Since the beginning of the pandemic, almost 122 thousand cases of coronavirus infection and almost 4 thousand deaths from it have been recorded in the region. 609,759 people were vaccinated, collective immunity was 69.5%.
