A fire broke out in a garage on Thorbeckestraat in Coevorden. The fire caused the neighboring house to fill with smoke.
A local resident started an extinguishing attempt from the roof of the garage while waiting for the fire brigade. Firefighters eventually brought the fire under control.
It is not yet known how the fire started. One resident was taken to hospital by ambulance.
