Three burglars who tried to break into a house on the Slenk in Gemert have come home from a rude awakening. As they were about to enter the home, the resident discovered the men on a surveillance camera with sound. The man shouted into the microphone that he had called the police and managed to chase them away.
That already happened on November 9, but the police shared images of the perpetrators in Bureau Brabant on Monday evening.
The images show that the men – all three wearing hoods – approach one by one through the back of the house. The last man walks a little more cautiously and looks around doubtfully. It then shows that the men are standing in the backyard and seem to be trying to figure out how to get in.
Panic
One of the men then tries to climb up the garden table. Another helps him and accidentally gets kicked in the face. Shortly afterwards, the two standing in the garden panic because they hear the resident screaming. The man upstairs wriggles himself off the roof and then the three immediately run off.

These are three tanned men, all wearing sweatpants, sneakers and a jacket or sweater with a hood. One of the men has a stubble beard and mustache, while another stands out because of his dark mustache and narrow build. The police are calling on people who recognize the men to come forward.
Residents victim for second time
It is not the first time that the house has been targeted by burglars. The house in Gemert was also broken into last year. Then it was two burglars who actually entered the house by throwing a large boulder through the window. They managed to take nothing, but there was a lot of damage.
It is not clear whether they were the same perpetrators or whether they belong to the same group.
Here you can see how the house was also targeted by burglars in June 2023:
