A nonsense argument, says Jonkeren. “Where can you cycle in Meppel? Because there are ditches everywhere and there are lots of cycle paths passes. It is no longer about facts, but about emotion.” She is often accused of being the initiator of the plans, but that is absolutely not the case, she says. “There are the wildest stories and conspiracy theories. And because of those stories I get more and more to do with aggression, hatred or rude.” The schools think it is an unsafe situation, with a cross nearby, and have come up with the idea of doing something about it.
She looks outside. There is plenty to see. Not surprising, because she may live in the middle of a residential area, she has plenty of space. There is approximately 3.5 hectares of land at the farm. “My 15 -year -old daughter has two ponies at home here and my children are having a great time here.” It was also one of the reasons to move to this farm in 2021.
After they bought the farm, a huge renovation waited. The front house of the farm remained and some wooden trusses remained standing. For the rest, everything became new.
