A group of men kept the minds busy on Friday evening in a care complex for accompanied living on the Bisschop Godschalkstraat in Tilburg. A resident of the care complex called the police that a group of men with balaclavas and a firearm entered the building. The group would possibly have been aiming for the resident. The police pulled out in a big way and found a number of balaclavas.

After the report, the police came to the care complex with about eight police cars. The Special Interventions (DSI) service was also informed, but ultimately did not have to come to the scene.

Agents in bullet -proof vests searched the complex, where people with (slight) intellectual disabilities live. No firearm was found during the search in the building. Three men were stopped and sat in a police car with handcuffs.

During the search, the police did found balaclavas that the men would have worn. A car was still searched, but no firearm was found there either. The suspects were not arrested. There was also no declaration made by the reporter.

Photos were taken of the men and they had to pass on their personal information. A spokesperson for the Philadelphia care complex announces on Friday evening that the police will return on Saturday for extra investigation and viewing the camera images.

“The peace in the care complex has since returned and that has the priority for us,” says the spokesperson. The police action attracted a lot of attention. Witnesses are heard by the police.
